Selena Gomez has been granted a long-term restraining order against stalker Thomas Brodnicki, reports TMZ. Presiding judge had previously refrained from providing her with lasting protection as Brodnicki was being held in a psychiatric facility & could not defend himself against allegations he threatened to kill her.

The ruling was the result of Brodnicki accepting that Selena needed to be given a restraining order and in a court filing he wrote: ‘I do not wish to object because I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena.’ Tom claimed to have had ‘over 50 conversations with God a day about killing Ms Gomez’.

Demi Lovato’s Seventeen Magazine luncheon was held yesterday to celebrate the new magazine issue with an in-depth interview and photo shoot with the former Disney star. One of Demi’s BFFs Selena Gomez wasn’t able to attend the event, but she did make sure she sent a message that was read to Demi and the other attendees.

“You have courage—courage to want to change to be better for yourself. The amount of respect I have for you is indescribable. You have gone through one of the hardest chapters in your life and I praise you for wanting to share that journey and walk away from it all as a better person. Thank you for trusting me and wanting me there during that hard time. I hope you know how much I love you and how proud I am of the role model that you have become.”

Selena Gomez’s character Alex Russo is the Family Wizard on the hit Disney Channel Original Series “Wizards of Waverly Place“! But, Alex isn’t the only sibling to keep her powers! It turns out David Henrie’s character Justin Russo got to keep his powers too by becoming head master at WizTech!

While fans are super excited about both Alex and Justin getting to keep their powers, they are a bit disappointed in the fact that Jake T. Austin’s character Max Russo didn’t get to keep his powers too. Instead, Jake became the new owner of the family sub shop.

Selena Gomez along with her band The Scene are set to perform at her 2nd Annual Charity Concert on Friday, January 20th at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA!

In addition to Gomez, surprise musical guests will be taking to the stage adding to an already spectacular evening. For the second year in a row proceeds from the concert will benefit UNICEF.

Advance fan club tickets will go on sale this Thursday, January 5th at 10 am pst exclusively at selenagomez.com

Tickets to the general public go on sale Friday, January 6th at 5pm pst and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Selena has been a UNICEF Ambassador since 2009 advocating for the world’s most vulnerable children by participating in numerous campaigns, events and initiatives on behalf of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. With trips to Ghana and Chile, Gomez witnessed first-hand the conditions of children who lack vital necessities.

“Giving back has always been important to me. This concert allows me to connect with my fans in person which is one of the best parts of my job and to raise money for important causes at the same time I can’t think of anything I would enjoy doing more.” Gomez said of the charity concert

You have to be careful with ‘Beliebers’ — they can get pretty crazy and Selena Gomez knows not to anger them.

Of course, we’re talking about Justin Bieber’s legion of fans who are practically ready to sacrifice themselves for the 17-year-old popstar. And it was exactly a year ago that some of those fans started sending Gomez death threats after photos of the couple kissing surfaced online. Needless to say, Gomez knows how important it is to be diplomatic when talking about them.

In a recent interview with Baltimore radio station Z104.3, the 19-year-old singer was asked if she was annoyed by Bieber’s fans who hated her, and we think she gave a safe reply.

“It’s a little odd, but I understand it completely,” she admitted. “It’s amazing to me to see how many passionate fans there are. So obviously, you’ve just got to think of the fans first, and that’s OK.”

The singer who rang in the New Year in Times Square for MTV’s New Year’s Eve special, also admitted that it’s “kind of” annoying that she and Bieber can’t share the same fans, but said it’s “kind of cool we have our own individual [fans].”

Gomez and Bieber have been dating for just over a year and although they didn’t get to share a kiss at midnight, we hear the couple welcomed 2012 together, dancing until 3 a.m. private party Justin hosted at the Glass House, once he wrapped his performance on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”

Justin Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez may have performed on two different stages on New Year’s Eve, but they were both still in New York City so of course they met up after midnight to party! Justin and Selena attended a private party at the Glass House and according to a source who saw the duo at the party and spoke with E! News:

He danced with Selena, showing off, picking her up and swinging her around like it was Dancing With the Stars.

Justin also reportedly had his new song with Jaden Smith played by the DJ at the party!
